Want to know all the cool changes going on in the subculture?
On May 1st, 2020, on the Sabbat of Beltane, Lord Regent Michael Vachmiel, Lady Regent Phoenyxx Ry Sing, along with other members of The Regents Council of the Vampire Court of Houston decided to become The Courtiers Court.
Understandably, when one of the oldest public vampire organizations makes such a dramatic change, there are questions.
Here are some answers!
What is Courtiers Court
Courtiers Court is a united, professionally managed organization, based on the romantic image of a vampire court, composed of Real Vampires, Swans or Vampire Donors, Real Fae (those who believe that are reincarnated from fairy souls), Otherkin (those who believe they have reincarnated from a non human soul), Pagans (those who worship different ancient gods), and Witches (those that practice the Art of Witchcraft)
Who else is welcome in Courtiers Court?
Anyone who comes in with the purpose of sharing with an open mind and heart?
Anyone not welcome?
Bullies and trolls are not welcome. Neither are people who confuse role playing with reality. Role playing is cool. Being unable to separate fantasy from reality is not!
How old is the organization?
The Vampire Court of Houston was founded on Halloween 2015. Halloween 2016 it became a legal business. On May 1, we became Courtiers Court. So we have been serving the global community for 5 wonderful years as of this writing.
What are the goal of the group?
Our mission is a continuation from when we were the Vampire Court of Houston.
Leadership of the community.
The best example Courtier Court leadership is our charity outreach. For instance, take these examples. For instance, 2017 The Court has raised over $4000 for Hurricane Harvey, Friends for Life, and other organizations.
Another example, 2018 the Court began its charity outreach by donating material worth $500.00 Dem Damn Dames to help raise money for Planned Parenthood and other charities.
Similarly, 2019 the Court partnered with Thorn and Moon along with Avant Garden to help raise money for The Wilde Collection to rebuild after a horrible terrorist fire bombing of their home and shop.
In Conclusion, we continue our leadership role by hosting public meetings and events regularly to listen and respond to the needs of our community.
Promotion of the Arts
Our promoting of the arts is by working with local artists and venues to support and promote events. In 2017 the Court worked with Alley Theater to promote “Let the Right one in”, for example.
Another example of artistic promotion, we have worked with various movie houses to give away free passes to encourage independent and limited release films. We promote local performance art and artists using our social media, resulting in greater outreach to the public.
The Court and its members share their expertise and experiences to create a rich, dynamic learning environment. Though public lectures, media appearances, the use of social media and live video, the Court has an expansive body of work about alternative subcultures and art!
Products and Services
The Court produces the podcast Courtiers Court available on all major podcast services. We also produce a line of products on our Etsy Store. The Court wanted to create articles on alternative subcultures and art!
Therefore, we have created Courtiers Court Pod Cast
